My personal journey has been motivated by a longing for freedom of movement, spontaneity, and openness in relationships with myself and others. This is what I can offer to you as a psychotherapist.
Boštjan Lužnik, psychotherapist.
Explorer
When I think about psychotherapy and how I ended up in the field, the word »explorer« comes to mind. I am an explorer of my own life, questioning why I am where I am, and why I am the way I am. To explore, I must be in touch with myself and everything that is part of it. This is the connection that enables freedom – freedom of expression, movement, feeling, and ultimately, personal satisfaction. Through psychotherapy, I have (re)established and deepened this connection.
Self-exploration and searching for answers to life’s questions has been a part of me since childhood. When the literature I read could not provide answers to all my growing questions, I began an individual psychotherapy process, which initiated and accelerated life changes that ultimately led me to become a body psychotherapist.

Development
My journey has often led me into the unknown. For example, enrolling in a body psychotherapy school in the Netherlands, resigning from regular work and the career opportunities it offered, starting my own private psychotherapy practice in Slovenia, first in Ajdovščina and later in Koper, continuing my specialization in body psychotherapy using the NeuroAffective Relational Model, and evolving the methods of my work. My main focus of work and exploration is researching the connection between developmental (complex) traumas, the body and the nervous system.
This process has involved many moments of uncertainty, facing myself, forming new friendships and acquaintances, exploration, workshops, supervision and therapy. Despite all the challenges I have faced, I would not trade the feelings I experience at the end of each day in my office for anything in the world. These feelings are priceless, and I am grateful to everyone that embarks on their journey of exploration with my support.
